Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, archbishop of Genoa and president of the Italian Episcopal Conference, was in San Giovanni Rotondo on 23th September for Saint Pio's feast day.

 

He visited the IRCCS Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza hospital and met MARIO that is one of the innovative project of the hospital. Cardinal Bagnasco was introduced to the use of MARIO and had a brief interaction with him and the patients in the room. He said that this new technology can a useful help for the care of the patients with dementia.
